DO YOU TRAVEL OUTSIDE OF CANADA?
Yes! We love capturing destination weddings and elopements. While the Canadian Rocky Mountains are a favorite backdrop, we find it inspiring to film in new locations around the world. Each setting brings fresh visuals and unique cultural moments that deepen the story we tell, and we approach every destination with the same care, planning, and cinematic attention to detail.

WE HAVE LOOKED THROUGH YOUR COLLECTIONS AND WOULD LOVE TO BOOK, WHAT ARE THE NEXT STEPS?
If you think Everyday Films is the right fit for your wedding, we’d be honoured to capture your day. To reserve your date we require a signed contract and a 50% non-refundable initial payment. The booking process is fast and fully online. We accept e-transfers from Canadian bank accounts or all major credit cards. Once we receive your signed agreement and initial payment, your date is officially secured and our team is committed to your celebration.
Before your wedding you’ll complete a few short questionnaires. These give us the key details we need. Your preferences, schedule notes, and the other vendors on your day, so we can plan to document your day unobtrusively and deliver a film that reflects your story.
-
DO YOU WORK WELL WITH OTHER WEDDING VENDORS?
We believe the best wedding days are created through collaboration. The day should center on our couples and their families, not awards, Pinterest boards, or our portfolios; and our approach reflects that.
We prioritize strong relationships with other vendors. Before the wedding, we personally connect with each key supplier we’ll work alongside to align logistics, timing, and creative expectations so the day runs smoothly and unobtrusively. That pre-production coordination reduces surprises, avoids overlap, and ensures everyone can do their best work for the couple.
As we’ve filmed many weddings for fellow industry professionals such as photographers, cinematographers, planners and more; vendors are one of our strongest referral sources. If your wedding is in the Canadian Rockies, there is a good chance we’ve already collaborated with at least one member of your team, which helps build trust and seamless teamwork from rehearsal to last dance.

IS RAW FOOTAGE INCLUDED IN YOUR COLLECTIONS?
Raw footage is excluded from our standard collections but can be added as an optional upgrade. This includes every recorded moment from your wedding day, yes, every clip! Delivered on a hard drive shipped to your home. It’s an ideal choice for couples who want complete access to their day: all ceremony angles, candid moments, behind-the-scenes footage, outtakes, and bloopers that don’t appear in your curated films.
Why couples choose the raw footage add-on:
ᐧ Total transparency: rewatch every moment we captured.
ᐧ Emotional value: relive unscripted, intimate details that aren’t in the edit.
ᐧ Keepsake quality: a comprehensive archive of your wedding day.
Practical details:
ᐧ Delivered on a reliable, high-capacity hard drive.
ᐧ Includes all original camera files and audio.
ᐧ Can be added at any time up until final delivery.
Add raw footage to preserve the full story of your wedding day. Every laugh, tear, and unexpected moment, alongside your professionally edited films.

HOW MANY CAMERAS DO YOU USE FOR THE WEDDING DAY?
Our priority is to remain unobtrusive while delivering comprehensive coverage of your wedding day. We tailor the number of cameras to the activity and the venue: intimate, audio-driven moments like the ceremony and reception toasts typically receive 2–4 cameras to capture clear audio-synced angles and give the editor a rich selection of shots. Less audio-dependent periods such a getting ready and portraits, are covered with one camera per cinematographer, allowing natural moments to unfold without disruption. This approach balances discretion with cinematic depth, ensuring you receive a polished, emotionally resonant film that reflects the full scope of your day.

HOW DO YOU ENSURE PROFESSIONAL QUALITY AUDIO?
Audio is what elevates a wedding film from photos. It turns images into a story you can feel. At Everyday Films, we treat audio as the heartbeat of every edit. Capturing pristine sound is central to our service: it’s part technical expertise, part careful planning, and part creative discretion.
Our approach combines proven techniques and meticulous preparation. For moments driven by speech or emotion, vows, toasts, and heartfelt reactions, we record at least two independent audio sources to prevent dropouts, clipping, or distortion. Redundant feeds, high-quality microphones, and on-site monitoring reduce risk and preserve nuance. Behind the scenes, our “secret sauce” is an experienced workflow that anticipates common audio challenges and adapts solutions in real time.
The result is films where dialogue is clear, ambience is rich, and emotional beats land naturally. We aim for audio so clean and intentional you’ll notice the difference every time you press play.
